We firmly believe that emerging renewable technologies are best delivered through a well-established monitoring and evaluation (M&E) platform that is used to delivering high levels of customer service via a large pool of skilled labour. Start-up renewable energy businesses can often fail due to a lack of scale or depth to their resources and experience.
OUR IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF RENEWABLES
Understanding renewables is not just about understanding the technologies. It’s about understanding political framework that created the industry in its current form. Having been present at the very start of the renewables revolution back in 2010, Duncan Renewables have the experience to guide customers through all aspects of the political landscape that may impact a project:
- RHI and Feed-in Tariff applications
- Planning requirements
- DNO applications (solar)
- Tax and legal considerations
We are able to provide these services in-house, within our project quote. On biomass projects, we leave 10% of our project price outstanding until RHI approval is received.
OUR OWNERSHIP PHILOSOPHY
We aim to provide all aspects of renewable project delivery: design, installation, ongoing maintenance and in the case of biomass, fuel supply too. By taking complete ownership for the project and not sub-contracting services, our customers know they only have one person to blame in the unlikely event of an issue arising.
OUR 2-HOUR RULE
We know how important being local is to our customers. We have grown the business based on being able to provide fantastic service and to do that, we believe that we need to be within 2 hours of our customers. With a location just off the A1 at Wetherby, we can get a long way within 2 hours – much of the North of England in fact.
OUR MULTI-SKILLED TRADES PEOPLE
Most of our staff have been with us for more than 5 years. Some have developed through from their apprenticeships to become lead engineers. By exposing staff to new technologies and providing them with the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills, the business and customers benefit from a highly committed, motivated and loyal team of experts.
