Scampston Estate, Malton
Scampston Hall is a regency period stately home situated on the outskirts of Malton, North Yorkshire. Not only is Scampston Hall a family home but it opens its doors to visitors wanting to learn more about its history and also as a venue for weddings and corporate events. The Hall is renowned for its modern award winning Walled Garden and also the park designed by Capability Brown.
We installed a 199kW HDG Woodchip boiler which will supply heat to the Hall, Estate offices and a domestic cottage via a district heating system. The Scampston Estate has an unlimited supply of wood and now uses this as woodchip for the biomass boiler.
With an original spend of approx. £20,000 per year on oil, installing a biomass boiler will make a significant difference to the running costs of the Estate. Incorporating the Non-domestic RHI payments means a payback period of approx. 4 years and a rate of return around 30% will also be enjoyed.

“Duncan Renewables did an excellent job installing and commissioning our new 199kW biomass boiler.
All the work was done to a very high standard and neatly finished. The quality of the fittings is also excellent.
I highly recommend them.” Chris Legard – Owner
