Testimonial

“Hackthorn is an agricultural estate and has been growing biomass in the form of miscanthus for some years. We were looking for a way to use this for our own heat use, and wanted to have the convenience and automation that only pellets can deliver. We certainly did not want to be slaves to the boiler. To achieve this we have found the perfect solution in Terravesta’s Grower Fuel Loop, where Terravesta buy our miscanthus, and supply us back our heat requirement as miscanthus pellet, the Guntamatic Biocom boiler, which is a miscanthus capable pellet boiler, and Duncan Renewables, a brilliant heating engineering business capable of designing and installing the most efficient district heating systems. Duncan Renewables’ engineering design and experience has been essential to the success of the installations. We have two of three district heating schemes installed and working at Hackthorn, and look forward to the third coming on line shortly. The miscanthus pellets are burning well, and are supplied on a 10 year forward contract linked to RPI. Who else can offer that level of fuel price security?” William Cracroft-Eley, Hackthorn Hall
